- Skin Resurfacing
There are different types of Skin Resurfacing options today. Most patients opt for laser treatments, either Ablative or Non-Ablative.
ABLATIVE Lasers remove the thin outer layer of skin (the epidermis layer) to heat the underlying layer (the dermis). This stimulates collagen growth. Collagen is a naturally occurring protein that improves skin's firmness and texture. As the epidermis heals and re-grows, the skin appears smoother and tighter.  Many patients look several years younger.

NONABLATIVE Lasers also stimulate collagen growth, but less aggressively so offer a shorter recovery time. Nonablative Lasers still lessen the appearance of fine lines, improve the loss of skin tone and complexion, but not as significantly or as noticeably as Ablative Lasers.  

- Botox
Botox injections are used for facial aesthetic purposes to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and lines, usually in the patient's face. As a TMJ Specialist, Dr. Pedro also uses Botox to relieve jaw tension, pain, headaches (migraines) and teeth grinding. Botox relaxes overworked jaw muscles.

- Veneers
Veneers are thin shells that fit over the front surface of a patient's teeth to improve their appearance while also protecting the teeth from damage. Veneers treat cosmetic concerns:  chipped, broken, discolored or smaller- or larger-than-average teeth. The tooth-colored, thin shells bond to the teeth such that the teeth's length, size, color, shape and function can be improved. You will participate in the design of your new teeth including translucency, texture, color and shapes so you can own the spectacular smile you've always wanted.

- Teeth Whitening
Teeth Whitening involves applying hydrogen peroxide or a carbamide peroxide-based gel to the surfaces of stained teeth. The bleach breaks up the stains making the color less concentrated.  This leaves the patient's teeth brighter and whiter. As a cosmetic Prosthodontic expert, Dr. Pedro uses the Zoom system to customize your treatment.  While results vary based on a number of factors, our typical results lead to teeth 4-8 shades lighter.
